Official Rules: Smith Mountain Lake Open Tournament July 30th 2011

Only Largemouth and Smallmouth Bass will be eligible for weigh in.

6 fish bag limit per team, all fish must measure at least 14 inches long.

For each short fish presented for weigh in, the team’s largest fish will be disqualified as well as the short fish.

There will be a .25 pound (4 ounce) penalty for each dead fish.

Late check in will result in a 1 pound per minute deduction from the total weight.

Late check in by more than 15 minutes will result in disqualification.

No live bait allowed, only artificial lures are to be used, live well check will be performed.

Only 1 fishing rod may be used at a time utilizing cast and retrieve method, no trolling.

Any team violating tournament rules will be subject to disqualification.

Any tie will be decided by the team’s largest fish.

Any additional tie will be decided by a coin toss.

All decisions made by the tournament director are final.
