Nelson county Bassmasters Club Rules 2008
| 1. | The maximum number of members will not exceed 20. |
| 2. | There will be a total of six (6) club tournaments per year starting in 2003. Only the four best tournaments per member will be counted for the final points standings. |
| 3. | The entry fee for each tournament will be $25.00. |
| 4. | Every non-boater will pay his boat owner partner a minimum of $30.00 for the each club tournament. Also if he/she is riding with the boat owner to and from the tournament that person will fill the boatowner's vechicle with gas on the way home. |
| 5. | No alcohol will be allowed before or during a tournament. If drinking and fishing during a tournament, will be disqualified for that tournament. |
| 6. | Club dues will be due at the December club meeting. The dues breakdown is as follows: $20.00-Club, $20.00-National, $20.00-State. |
| 7. | The first three tournament fees($75) must be paid at the meeting before the first tournament. The second three tournament fees($75) must be paid at the meeting before the fourth tournament. All members must pay entire tournament fees! |
| 8. | Tournament entry fee($25) split in following way: Club receives $5, "Big Fish" pot $5 and $15 split between 1st and 2nd. Payoff will be as follows 1st place= 70%; 2nd place = 30%; "Big Fish" = 100% of take. (Example for Big Fish split: 10 entries x $5 per entry = $50) |
| 9. | The results and standings for each tournament and the end of the year will be based upon the POINTS system. In the case of a tie, the largset fish will determine placement. |
| 10. | All members must notify the President or Vice President at or before the meeting PRIOR to a tournament wheather or not they intend to fish that tournament. Failure to comply will make the member in quesiton ineligible to fish the tournament and member willreceive 0 points for that tournament.. |
| 11. | Any boatowner who is paired with a non boat owner,
or non-boatowner , that does not show for the tournament and has not contacted
either the President or the Vice President or thier respective partner within
24 hours before the tournament will receive zero points for the tournament
and forfeit their previous highest tournament points. NOTE: Only an extreme emergency, such as severe illness, a death, or breakdown on the way to the tournament will overturn this rule. |
| 12. | Voting on a new rule or changing an existing rule will be done at the Presidents discretion. |
| 13. | In order to fish either the Mr. Bass or the Six Man tournaments as a boat owner the member must have fished at least half (three) of the rquired club tournaments as a boat owner. |
| 14. | In order for a member or any person to be eligible to fish either the Mr. Bass or Six Man tournaments that member must be a National and Virginia Federation member for one year prior to fishing either tournament.Dues must be paid in the month of December when all dues (Club, National and VA federation) are due. |
| 15. | Any member wishing to fish the following year must have all dues paid in full from past years. |
