| Club Details
The Nelson County Bassmasters is a member of the national B.A.S.S. organization
and the Virginia B.A.S.S. Federation. We compete in the Virginia B.A.S.S. Federation
Region 2 Tournaments. In addition we have six club tournaments a year and occasionally
have an open tournament or two. The lakes we normally fish are: Smith Mountain Lake,
Bugg's Island, Lake Gaston, Lake Anna,
Chickahominy River, Lake Moomaw and
the
Potomac River.
The club is dedicated to improving bass fishing skills for all ages, genders, and
races. We are a catch and release club who tries to conserve our natural resources.
Of course we do all of this for the sheer enjoyment of fishing. Club members share
tips and techniques with other club members and strive to make ourselves better
anglers.
Current News
It is
hard to believe that the season has only started and we have already fished 4 tornaments.
The
Lake Gaston, Anna, Smith Mountain and Buggs island tournaments are in the record books and so far it has been
a great season. The winning weights for all out Tournaments
so far has probably been some of the
best in recent seasons.
All the tournament results are posted as well as the standings fot the year.

The pictures above are of David Clements and Steve Patrick with some of their catch
from our Lake Gaston Tournament. Check out the pictures page for some more pictures
from this Tournament. If you have any fishing pictures you would like share, please email them
