The Nelson County Bassmasters is a member of the national B.A.S.S. organization and the Virginia B.A.S.S. Federation. We compete in the Virginia B.A.S.S. Federation Region 2 Tournaments. In addition we have six club tournaments a year and occasionally have an open tournament or two. The lakes we normally fish are: Smith Mountain Lake, Bugg's Island, Lake Gaston, Lake Anna, Chickahominy River and the Potomac River.

The club is dedicated to improving bass fishing skills for all ages, genders, and races. We are a catch and release club that believes in conserving our natural resources. Of course we do all of this for the sheer enjoyment of fishing. Club members share tips and techniques with other club members and strive to make ourselves better anglers.
